Accounts
Payable Coordinator
Principle Accountabilities:
 |
Coding and entering invoices
in the system received after the approval process |
 |
Ensuring capital items are
coded and charged to the relevant capital asset account as per the
group's capitalization policy |
 |
Maintaining procedures for
identifying payment priorities |
 |
Preparation and processing of
the weekly cheque run |
 |
Mailing out cheques and FedEx
packages |
 |
Filing accounts payable
cheques |
 |
Photocopy invoices as
required |
 |
Ensure storage room is kept
in orderly manner |
 |
Month end reconciliations and
schedules |
 |
Candidate will be
cross-trained in other areas of finance and will be asked to assist
where required |
Required Skills and Qualifications:
 |
Post Secondary Education in
accounting
|
 |
Enrollment in CGA would be
considered an asset
|
 |
2 years experience in Accounts
Payable role
|
 |
Experience in a Consumer
Packaged Goods industry would be considered an asset
|
 |
Experience with Microsoft Great
Plains, ACCPAC, Simply Accounting or any other Windows-based software
|
 |
Knowledge of MS Office
|
 |
Must have strong interpersonal
and communication skills
|
 |
Must be able to work in a
fast-paced, dynamic environment
|
